Baking a couple loaves of sourdough that are cold proofing in the fridge.
Grinding lamb and beef this weekend.
Beef for summer sausage.
Lamb for kaftas and will probably save off some pieces for souvlaki

What you guys grilling or smoking up?
What you thinking?

Not sure what will be going down tomorrow but as the little man is not feeling well today, guessing we are not going too far. Which means I could have a chance to thaw out something and have some fun with it. Then again the high for tomorrow here is about 5 with windchills below -10. I might need to get more kerosene for my heater lol.

I have 3lbs of ground Chuck and 3lbs of ground pork butt ready to make a couple of smoked meatloaves, and a cast iron pot full of Boston baked beans.
I'll mash up some Reds & Yukons with skin on for mashed potatoes, and steam up some mixed veggies. One of my favorite winter meals is a take on an old school lunch we used to get in Grammar school. Topped with a light brown gravy, I'll be in my happy place for the week, two nights of "school lunch" for dinner. Then meatloaf, and two slices of Kraft American cheese, thin sliced sweet onion, and yellow mustard on Bunny bread slices.

My wife and I love it, we both had these meals back in grade school!!!

Enjoy your weekend.
Dan.

Wanting to some chicken thighs in the smoker but it doesn't look as if the weather will cooperate for that happen.

Rain is on the forecast today and to.orrow so not sure what we will do

Some Apple Butter spares are going on here soon. Wish it was a bit warmer, but not the first time I’ve smoked in below zero temps.

Today is carnivore week 2 prep day. Cooking ahead some burgers, homemade breakfast sausage patties, bacon and eggs.

a brined pork rib roast and a rack of spare ribs "party style" going on the smoker tomorrow. high of about 35 degrees tomorrow. maybe will light up the fire pit too. have a good weekend yall.

Yesterday was garbage plates with slow cooked SBR pork with BBQ beans, coleslaw, and onion rings. Tonight, another simple dish. Tossing stuff in the deep fryer and oven.

Looks like I'm doing a bacon wrapped turkey breast i found at a small town grocery store. Was only about $14 for it. Toss it in with some apple bourbon pellets. It's about 5 degrees with windchill about -20. Glad I'm in the garage with the bullet heater.

Rain today and snow tomorrow so nothing outside. Planning on veal osso buco with mashed cauliflower turnip mix (thx jcam222 jcam222 ), asparagus. Hopefully also making BrianGSDTexoma BrianGSDTexoma butter/cathead biscuits.

Well someone on here text me earlier and brought up chislic, since he had it when we met in Sioux Falls... it's a South Dakota thing. It gave me a craving so Rafter H BBQ Rafter H BBQ thank you...was tasty! Colder than heck out so I cheated and used the broiler... but still tasty!
