I must say when I started messing with my smoker and reading this forum, I would have never have thought of smoking a frozen pizza! But it sounds like several of you have and have gotten tasty results.

Which brings me to the question (qualified, of course).

What is the most unusual food item you have smoked and how did it turn out?

Dave

garlic.......turned out great........shrimp.....bit rubbery, but still not bad......crap..........will come up with more later............have to go thru my imageshack pics, to get a reminder

Well.......I cold smoked a twinkie once. Wasn't very good.
I like to throw things in just to fill the smoker up.

My dog, apparently. Got yelled at a couple weeks ago for it. Was tending the fire and hanging outside on a rare day above 30 and me and Mikey the Wild Schnauzer were enjoying the afternoon. Evidently the wife objected to him hopping up on the bed later on. Go figger. ;{)

Nothing real exotic, but I do plan to try the pizza and pickled eggs. So far it has been mostly meat, but I do like the fattys and ABTs. Did a ball of mozzerella a couple of weeks ago that got snatched up pretty quick.

Cowgirl... a TWINKIE? Some of you have quite an imagination.

I have to watch my friends, they'll try to throw in road kill if I'm not looking. lol

Their motto is "Throw in on the smoker!" No matter what it is.

Not really what I'd call unusual...but I've smoked mussels before that turned out really well. I wrote a thread on it some time ago. I'll post the link if I can find it.

Not so much an unusal item. But, I did get an unusual taste.....

When I was first starting out, I decided to smoke a Kilbasa. I did what I thought was right, and it was terrible. I ate more than I should have because I put the work in. That was the next bad thing to do.

I haven't tried it since and probably never will.

Smokeys my pet and Gramason were ravin' about these pizzas they doin' over at Smokeys my Pet's hangout... so i went over to one of the gatherings... we all made some pizzas with our own dreamed up concoctions... best pizzas i ever had!!! I put hard salami, pepperoni, moz. cheese, garlic, onions, peppers, some other stuff - Blake smoked it up... MMMMM goood!!!

I would have to say it would be the lasagna I smoked last weekend. Was ok, but will do it again to improve. We rated it a 6-7 out of ten.
Andy.

Well I had some almost seasoned wood, I had a bottom rack free and a few hours to go so tossed in about a half dozen 3-4" round limbs. Speed seasoning I guess.

A Pot Holder. I left it in the BGE after taking a butt off. It didnt taste very well....
By the way, what temp do you cook a pot holder to anyway?

By The Way,

Someone made a joke on one of the forms about using pine and lighterfluid...

Well, I will come clean. About 10 years ago when I got my first smoker.... I did just that to a chicken. Took one bite and, well lets just say we had Chinese that night..

o-well Live and learn.... Some of just have more to learn then others..

Probably frog legs would be the top of my list.

Maybe gator for the second place vote (BTW don't bother with the gator....much better fried IMO)

I really just think of my smoker as an oven with a smoke option, so anything and everything makes it out there eventually.
