Hopefully you will add to the lists. I did an article on the worst but haven't done anything about the best. Maybe my list is peculiar but I like basic, functional, quality accessories and high tech cool stuff at the same time.

Worse

El Cheapo socket set ( got one and tossed it )

Old spice after shave. ( I have had a beard for 40 years but still get this gift from my aunt every year )
Popiel pocket fisherman ( a really dumb product )
Chef's hat that says, Kiss the cook.

I ended up writing a column on the best and the worst 2009 Christmas presents. My best:

1. The Stoker
2. Custom BBQ grill
3. Polypro gloves
4. Turbo Marinator
5. Digital Thermo
6. Books--especially the Meat Book
7. Smoking basket
8. Personalized branding iron
9. The Smoking Gun
10. The Best and the Worst Gifts: Forum Choice

#10 is linked because the forum chosen was SMF, and this article was based on this thread. Hope you enjoy it--and please excuse a little editing.

That article links to the rest of the Best which links to the Worst gifts too, if interested.
