So nobody has pulled the trigger yet?
I don't like the idea of dropping $1500 for one but if they really did fix all the problems their 1st gen gravity feeders had, then I may have to dig deep.
 
I'd like to be able just to see one in person. But its my understanding, that the only way to buy one is direct from MB.
 
Stay away from the xt I have nothing but problems only used it 3 times the 2nd time the damper broke and the 3rd time the unit would not turn on the controller is shot

Well, that's sad news. But not uncommon for Masterbuilt. These kind of problems are common with their GF series.

In the past, they've been good about correcting them.

Where did you buy yours?
Did you put it together or was it prebuilt?
As much as I did not like putting my first gen Masterbuilt gravity rig together, I just don't trust a big box store worker to "blueprint" any smoker of mine.
