Well,I have some bad news.Kroger finally put an end to the digital coupon sharing on meats. If you start reading their fine print, they mention its only valid at certain locations. So for instance, that .97 cent pork butt can’t be transferred to a Store outside of Houston or LA.I wondered how long it would take them to put an end to it.

I went to my Kroger this morning, and was going to buy a package of chuck roast and see if I got it for $4.99/lb.

But all they had was 2 packs which would have been $30 to $38 if the digital coupon didn't fly.
I don't have that kind of money right now, and I have plenty of ground pork.

WeWillSee.

After clipping the coupon go to the home screen and turn on the bar code scanner in the app at the top and see if your clipped coupon shows up with a check mark and it'll work at the checkout if it does. Now it's another step to click on the coupon to get details and see if it is state/location specific. I'll still share if the FB page posts non specific state/location details in the coupon.

The digital coupon came from my Kroger, so I have no questions about that.
The weird thing was it didn't show up in the printed ad at the store.
Either way, I'm broke so I can't pursue this right now.
Maybe next week when I get my SS check.

Some of the digital coupons say something like "Only useable in Fred Meyers not in Alaska"... The tri-tip coupon still worked in Alaska.

I mostly check this stuff on the computer instead of a phone app, but younger folks are probably more use to smart phones, I've found that you can look up on the site as if you were going to order it for pick up or delivery and it will tell you if you have a coupon that works in that location.

I've also noticed an issue of just not having some items so coupon or not, I can't get it. My local Fred Myers (2 of them) doesn't carry bottom round at all and the several different turkey breast coupons didn't do any good as they only carry turkey seasonally.

I'm curious what the weekly ad preview will show tomorrow.
Looks like Strawberries will be on sale again, so I'll probably get some more so I have enough to can some jam. That's one I get a hell of a deal from this, my local adds show $3.99/lbs. while I'll probably be able to find $1.99/lbs. (that's what I got last time I bought any). Even if they lock down meat to specific stores I'll still be making out like a bandit from the other sales. Food is just insanely expensive up here, if you read any articles talking about what state has the most expensive food they always have a small print note *not counting Alaska or Hawaii.

There is almost always somewhere with some of the same discounts (just better), we do have BOGO on petite sirloin aka ball tip, though I haven't bought them since college, they are not bad, just not as good (but cheaper) then more common steaks. I'm also seeing some shrimp discounted, I'll probably get some of them if I can find a coupon from down south.

In the 75248 at Kroger, there is $0.97/lb Pork Shoulder/Butt on digital coupon.

I'm curious what people find if they try the coupon on it.

I clipped it and it shows qualifying products. Changed back to my zip and no qualifying products.

I've noticed that seems to work to see if you can use it or not, when I change to my location if it shows qualifying products it works. I think part of the issue of it sometimes not working is when they just say "pork shoulder" they actually mean "pork shoulder from xxx supplier" and if your store is sourced from somewhere else it doesn't work.

Kroger 61604 has some Franks at $0.99 but they are brands my store doesn't carry (~$8 a pack here).
