Hello Everyone:

I found this forum while searching for information on how to use my new Master Built 30" electric smoker.  I have 'burned meat' in the past, but never tried the 'smoker' route. -- Until now I have grilled everything, but the lure of BBQ ribs, and "Boston Butt" pork sandwiches, has made me think that "slow and smoked' may be the way for me to try.

I have everything in place, smoker assembled and initial seasoning done.  I have my 'rub' and a 4# Boston butt.  My plan was to try and get started today, but it is raining like crazy in Dunwoody, GA today, so I'll wait a day or so.

I think my best bet is to just go ahead and try.  I'll be back and ask for your help if it is a disaster, or if it works I'll proudly smile and say I knew what I was doing all along...
