Well, I am just getting started in smoking myself, I have been around it just never had my own equiptment. I found a cajun injector electric smoker on sale this weekend and will probably own it by the time the week is out. I am looking to get started just making ome deer jerky, snack sticks, and sausages. I am sure it will turn into more than that before its over. I look forward to hearing all of your advice.

Welcome aboard! This is a great place! One thing I would recommend is if you are interested in a particular subject, type it in in the search at the top of the page and read some of the former posts. That has been a big help to me.

First off Welcome Bucks to SMF. You'll like it here for there are a lot of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking. Now there are a lot of proven recipes for some amazing things here too. So if you need sign up for the E-Course it's free and it will give you the basics of smoking and some good methods to use also. So the next big thing for you to do is go out and get you something to smoke and if you happen to have any questions just post it here and we will be happy to answer them for you.

That's usually how it starts-you're just wanting to do SOME things and then you find yourself wanting to try this and wanting to try that and then you find that your smoker is nowhere near big enough and then you need another bigger smoker-it just an never ending cycle and if you have a girlfriend or wife, she's going to think that you are off your rocker.
