Sorry everyone, it has been quite a few busy months .
And very sorry, as I know I have missed a lot of things here. And have missed everyone ( well most ,lol ) just kidding.

I know that a lot has gone on with everyone and I know I have missed a lot of life changes for a lot of you guys.

Start off I am fine and all the family here are doing well also. It has just been one of those things , we all say that life gets in the way, well it did. You know we bought a piece of land on the ocean ( i know next to the ocean ). And doing lots there. And very busy with work, and keeping the ladies happy....

Had a couple of health things pop up, little bit of Cancer in my back, found out in April / May but was told not to worry ( easy for them to say and make me wait until Sept to have removed ) and just got the results back this week. All clear and well.
But did have another scare about a month ago as the place they removed it from after a month or so of thinking it was getting better swelled up and was like a big water blister , and then broke. Sent in pictures to surgeon and she made another appointment. She looked last week and said she cannot explain but I am clear and good and that is also when she gave me the all clear as the results were benign. My god they are slow at giving you answers.
So also while this was going on I also do the colon screening every 2 years , WELL this time they said something showed up and I must go in for a big probing . So off to have that done in Sept. and I am still waiting for those results. Her seemed like a nice enough DR> and he was gentle with me. Glad I took him in flowers and chocolates for our date.

Mona had a hard time with all this ( but she tried not to show it ) and that made it hard for me to not think about the what if's. So been trying to play catch up with everything here at home also. Making sure there was no major projects or things not done just incase. Still some things on list, I guess there always will be something when you own a home.

As so I see now that a few of you tried to get in touch with me , and again sorry as back in July I was fed up with paying so much for internet , cable and house phone ( $ 380.00 plus per month ) and changed my provider. That also meant new email address and stuff. And been trying to reset everything that was under the old provider.

Now on to smoking and cooking , since July I think I only smoked twice. And I really miss this. I am going to try and catch up with some of what I have missed with all my unsee family here. Really miss my time here talking about food and friends.

ps: we did have some fun at the new property. Set up our RV that we used to own for Mona's sister as she bought it from us to put on our property for her to stay in , ha ha .
But at least we have a place to stay instead of driving back and forth each day, while I work there also. And I am still way too busy at work and the next 2 weeks all outside jobs, glad it finally cooled down for that , wrong.

Anyway folks , I am glad to be back and hopefully spend a lot more time here. Now off to see what some of you have been up to on your smokers , BBQ's etc.

Life is well life. Things get busy one way or the other. Hoping things stay positive on the health side.
Still planning a trip south this spring? Summer is holding on pretty long this year in Florida. Hoping that doesn't mean a long cold winter and spring as last year.

Yes Dave it does, and I am ok, just a couple of small things. But I can deal with that. I just read your post. Man that is a lot to take in . Like you said roll with the punches.

Thanks Mike , and I am fine , it just puts things in a different light. My stuff is minor compared to others, just a busy time with a lot on the plate.

At least none of the health stuff was super bad. I have things removed on every colonoscopy, I think its just how they go these days. had a few skin cancers removed from my head. Best we can do is stay positive, live everyday and hope none of really bad sh*t comes our way. and drink a beer of course.

You are so right there Dave. Positive thinking and happy support people always helps. No not bad at all, just the no answers is what grinds me wrong. As for the scope work. Had it before few years back then a test every 2 years with good results . Than the last one I had to have another scope. Still no fun and still waiting for results.
Have no DR. really sucks. It is bad up here now , many folks with no Dr.
Mona has more issues than I , and she also has no DR.

But the sun shines most days and we are happy.

Glad to hear the health scares where just that….scares! Totally understand being absent here. Still getting settled here and starting a new life. Not as active here as i used to be. But getting back into the swing of things. Glad you and yours are well. Looking forward to more tater magic!

Yes I have to try and catch up on a lot of what I have missed. And was wondering how your new digs and work are going. I bet you have done some great smokes on the new beast

And like I was telling Ryan Brokenhandle , I have a few new to me potato recipes I want to try. Hope they turn out ... I will eat anyway , lol

Thanks HT, I am doing well and yes it is an age thing here for me as I get older it is hard to have things harder to do and then throw life into the mix.
I hope all your things get better also. And yes it is just a lot on the mind sometimes.
