I hope our brothers and sisters in the plains states especially Oklahoma and North Texas are all OK this morning after yesterdays huge tornado outbreak.
The coverage on Cnn was spectacular, but I can only imagine the devestation in some communities. My thoughts are with those folks today.

This year's storms are amazing. I saw the CNN coverage yesterday as it was going on. It's hard to believe that so much damage can come from something like that.

Capt Dan,

yes, hope all is well. the resources that are used and wasted on these events are out of control. fema and the rest. seem to just get their accounts healthier off these events. thank god most folk in those areas can take care of them selves pretty good. I just loved those news clips out of new orleans. "who going to help me now".."whos going to give me money", my god..
and from what I hear things will get worse before they get better.I might be wrong but seems I have heard on the news that this will be the hottest summer on record. take care of your out door animals and don't forget the wild critters, I have already set up feed blocks and water areas that I pay for in the desert around my place. Don't get me wrong now I am no PETA person I just do it so I can shoot them when things are better..

Same here ... thoughts are with them !

That same system is heading for us tonight. Is real humid today ...... storms sposed to start around 5pm ish today. Think i heard possible 4-5 inches of rain overnight.

Will make sure the kids are at home tonight.

CNN had one of the big tornadoes going through CO on live yesterday afternoon. A weather chopper was in the air and had it broadcast as it was tearing up the ground. Mother Nature just shaking her finger at all of us .... she's not happy it's getting warm ...

Hope everyone is safe. Check in if you can if you're in an area that was hit ... we're all thinking about ya!

Some video Tex. The devastation was mazing and so quick. My thoughts are with those affected.

Just talked to my folks in Waverly, sounds like the weather was pretty rough south of them by Waterloo. Tornados, hail, heavy rain. Hope anybody on here from that area stayed safe.

Be safe anyone near there.

The tornado in Colorado passed about 1 mile north of where I was. Things got windy where I was but nothing too insane. As I ran for the building I got hit by a trash can that was flying around but no injuries thank goodness.

My cousin lost her home in Windsor Colorado. Kinda makes you think.

Be careful folks. Mother Nature doesn't have the best sense of humor.

hey everybody ..thanks for all of your concerns for everyone here in oklahoma , my parents just live about 15 minutes away from the seaboard farms ..thats the farm you all seen on the news....fortunaly we have a really good weather guys out here and honestly if you in oklahoma you're pretty much a junior meterologist right off the bat...but it was a big tornado to see in spring lot of times they are just f1 or f2....i heard that they are going to rate this as a high f3 or f4....
