Hey everyone,

My name is Brad.. I am from the Des Moines, Iowa area. I just bought my first smoker today. It is a Masterbuilt 30 Inch electric smoker.... I am looking forward to learning how to smoke meats, and perfect it. I really have no experience at it, though I am pretty good at grilling, I would like to think that I would be able to catch on pretty fast. I look forward to the advice, and tips from everyone on SMF, as it seems you all have a lot of knowledge.... Thanks for having me!

Welcome to SMF glad you joined us. Congrats on the new MES. I would suggest signing up for Jeff's 5 Day Ecourse it has some great info and is free. You will also find some great info and some great recipes here. Any questions just ask and somebody will try to answer them. Have fun and happy smoking

First off welcome to SMF there Brad. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
