Yesterday hubby was at the store and grabbed a ring bologna. He took the skin off and put our rib rub on it. He smoked it for like 45 minutes (ring bologna is already cooked) and took it to the "boys" at lunch. Apparently it was so good that I didn't get a taste!! :evil:
Now that is an idea whose time has come. I grew up in western PA. Every time we go there to visit, I usually clean out the Martin's supermarket there of the Kunzlers Juniata Brand Ring Bologna. I have some in the freezer and will thaw one out just to smoke it.

meowey,the smoked bologna is truely a sensation,I smoke a roll about everytime I smoke.I like to spice it up a bit with what ever spices you like in olive oil and mop it on real good.I love garlic so I take a veg peeler and make some holes through the bologna lengthwise and pack the holes with fresh garlic.I let it go 3 to 4 hours to get a good smoke to it.I have went as far as to make my own bologna and really like it.Hope you enjoy the bologna,David is reader supported and as an Amazon Associate, we may earn commissions from qualifying purchases.
