Well had some leftover smoked chicken from yesterday. Decided to make one of my favorites and one of the kids'/wife's favorites. It's a cheese spaghetti with smoked chicken. This is some good spaghetti. Real big down here in my area, but not everyone uses smoked chicken. Enjoy...

5 Chicken Breasts (Boneless) (Subsitute Smoked Chicken)
One 15 oz. Jar of Cheez Wiz
One 10 ¾ oz. Can of Campbell’s Cheddar Cheese Soup
One 10 ½ Oz. Can of Cream of Chicken Soup
One 10 oz. Can of Rotel (Diced Tomatoes and Green Chiles-Mild)-Do Not Drain
One 1 Pound Package of Spaghetti
Boil Chicken Breasts until tender. Remove from water. Use the water you boiled with to cook the spaghetti. Follow directions on packet. Cut chicken breasts into cubes.
Add the Cheez Wiz, Cheddar Soup, Cream of Chicken Soup and Rotel into a sauce pan. Heat slowly until it reaches a low boil. Once it reaches a boil, add the chicken.
Combine mixture in sauce pan with the spaghetti.

    Looks pretty good!

You should think about adding some cheese to that dish ;)

It's cheesy, but it's good. Could eat it cold. Kids gobble it up. Not the healthiest thing, but don't do it every week.

Congrats, what a great way to use smoked chicken. Nothing beats creative cooking, making use of what you've got.

That is a great comfort meal on Sunday Night. It is like Mac and Cheese (Spaghetti and cheese) taken to a whole new level. Personally, I love stuff like that, and I frequently use leftover 'Que to amp it up.

Another one of my favorites is to dump leftover Chili on some pasta noodles or spaghetti too. It's all good.

Good Weekend Qview from ya! [IMG]

And let's not all forget that his wife and kids love it! My wife would shoot me if I made something like that for dinner. Looks awesome, makes me wish I was single so I could eat stuff like that

Firstly I have to say that is very interesting yet very tasty sounding combination. Would never have dreamed of such combinations though kudos on the addition of smoked chicken, smoke always makes everything better. I like to put a glass of milk and smoke it for a tasty treat before bedtime (no I obviously don't that would probably be kinda nasty)
Question I have is this, just to be clear.
You substitute the smoked chicken for the the regular you would have used. Now are you still boiling the chicken after it is smoked because if that recipe is still going by the assumption that you aren't smoking the meat but are boiling it from a raw state to tenderize and then cut up.
Hope I'm not too over the place just trying to make sure.
If you are doing the chicken smoked would you simply pull it from the smoker cut it up and throw in the sauce? Or would you smoke it then boil it in water and throw it into the sauce?

Thanks everyone. Fireitup, yes, just smoke the chicken and cut it up and throw it in. No need to boil it. Boiling is only for the uncooked chicken. I know it looks a little high in calories. Bit rich. It is a big dish in these parts. Any function you go to, you will find someone making Chicken Spaghetti. Many use Velvetta, but we like the Cheez Wiz. If you make it up, hope you enjoy. First time with the smoked chicken. Wife didn't like it as much as the boiled...boiled I said...Geez. Guess I will haev to boil my robs the next time. Not...

Thanks for the clarification. I figured you wouldn't boil it after smoking and only if it were raw but just wanted to be sure.
As for the high calorie or somewhat non-healthy aspect I doubt that will be a problem for a group of individuals who love nothing more than stuffing some kind of cheese/meat filling into a sausage log wrapped with bacon and on top of it all nickname the thing a fattie.
Call me crazy but I would rather have a slow and low smoked piece of delicious meat than eat something like cous cous and not truly know what it is to taste food.
Nothing better than that piece of meat that melts in your mouth with a gorgeous pink ring of flavor surrounding it.
If smoking preserves the foods we eat doesn't it stand to reason that eating smoked foods preserves our bodies and thus helps elongate our lives?

I made this tonight with some leftover smoked chicken thighs. I used rotini pasta instead of spaghetti. It was really good, kicked up mac n cheese. Thanks for the recipe and points to ya.

  18. I found this while looking at your pictures and looked it up. I Made it today. I was going to serve broccoli on the side but decided at the last minute to just add the cooked broccoli to the melange. Definitely going to be making again, and for company. It was delicious.
