Is a wooden smokehouse better than a concrete block smoker. If it is can you please tell me way. HOGS BREATH IS BETTER THAN NO BREATH AT ALL

I'd think if you were looking strictly at the thermal properties of the materials, i'd go with the concrete blocks. More effecient and even heat overall. then again I have absolutely no experience with smoke houses. but thats my $.02

Nice.  I like that one a lot.  Thanks Cowgirl.  Now this might be a stupid question if there is such a thing but, that is a cold smoker only right?  As soon as someone takes this hot tub out of my life I will have a nice 7'x7' cement slab to work with.  I want to eventually make a Masonry style wood smoke like this one..  Same concept maybe a little different.

Does anyone have any pointers, suggestions?

I already have lots and lots of brick that is currently used as a walkway in our backyard.  But the neighbors tree roots have made them all uneven, so I was going to pull them for this anyways.
