Good afternoon SMF. Thinking of smoking some ribs and a doing Cajun shrimp pasta for Christmas dinner. What sides would you do with these? A nice salad? Fries with the ribs? Garlic Bread? Garlic knots?

CPAC There's a side throw-down that just ended on the 9th. I would imagine the results will be posted in a day or so. You'll probably see some good ideas come from that.

Chris

Edit: I meant to say the entries should be posted in a day or so to be voted on.

Thanks Chris.

This time of year in the Mid-Atlantic, a pot of collard greens with smoked ham hocks or smoked turkey legs would be real tasty with ribs and feeds several.

How about a broccoli or green bean casserole? Don't know if your goal is for everything to be smoked, but I'm sure somebody here has smoked both!

Corn bread, dirty rice, roasted pepers (red, yellow, orange, with sweet onion) or red beans and rice,........ The more BBQ norm would be garlic bread and coleslaw.

I did some apple pie baked beans on the smoker awhile back, seemed like it would be a fitting dish around the holidays.

Given your main course, I would say salad in general but a good corn salad would in there I would think.
