rub question

  1. How many slabs would you use a rub of this size on?
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/4 cup paprika
    1 tablespoon black pepper
    1 tablespoon salt
    1 tablespoon chili powder
    1 tablespoon garlic powder
    1 tablespoon onion powder

    Probably 2-3 depending on how much you actually apply but not more than 3 I would figure more like 2.

    Yep....that's going to make you almost 1-1/4 cups of rub...I'd say 2 slabs max if you put it on the way I do.
     
  5. well I tried this and I get a strong taste of the paprika and would rather have the sweet taste would I add more sugar of less paprika?

    Add 1/4 cup of brown sugar and I think you'll be happy........... maybe a touch more cgbp. [​IMG]

    Two would be about it, I would think.

    I wouldn't think anymore than 2 but I like a heavy rub on them specially if they will be in the frig overnight so that the rub/marinade does it's magic.
