Hi there from Indiana. I'm new to smoking and would like to learn all about it. Plan on building a UDS to use for now. Came across this forum and can't stop reading it. Hope to learn a lot from here.

Welcome Craig, glad you found us. Many many great people here and lots of smoking know-how. UDS is a good choice, hope you take some photos of it as its put together.

You sure you want to get into the smoking habit? It can become very addicting LOL.

Welcome again, hope you become involved with us here, and remember, if theres something you need to know, ask. Someone will always jump in and provide and answer or two.

How to post Qview to Forum:

When you uploading to Photobucket I always use the Large IMG setting, 640 x 480 it is a nice size...

Everyone here enjoys seeing the Qview so be sure to post plenty of pics...

Large ones that us old people with bad eyes can see.

First off welcome Craig to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.

Hello Carlos Here From Miami Fl,and just Built me a Smoker from 175 gal water tank I think it came out great, I can Smoke with split logs I can Smoke with Propane ,and I can also use a Charcoal and wood chips and also put in a water basin so as not to dry those meats that can get pretty dry.

Thanks for all the HELLOS. I have signed up for the 5 day course and just got day 2 sent to me. Still researching UDS builds. Hopefully can get a plan together soon. Thanks again.Craig
 
Welcome Craig. You'll meet alot of nice people here. And they are very knowledgable bout smokin.
Do you have an idea of how you're going to build your smoker? The last one I built I took alot of pics while doin it. If ya need, I'll put them up on photobucket and give ya the link. I may already have them up there. Just let me know.
