Looks great Phin! Was this your first smoke? If I get my GOSM this week then that'll be my first meal out of the box as well. Was it pretty simple to do?

PHINFAN, I also own a Traeger. I bought the big one. I installed the digital thermometer that you can buy for it. I just checked the accuracy of the internal temp. by putting my remote meat probe in the middle of the grill. The digital probe mounts inside by only about 3/4 Inch away from the side which I think radiates heat. I was right and the actual temp is off 15 degrees. I'm still trying to figure bthis thing out but happy so far. I cook alot of Tri-Tip in it. Falls apart. I too have been having problems with ribs not pullin back but then again my temp was wrong. I'm going to move the digital probe because it seems that correct temp is the key to smokin. I also smoked some Salmon with a Macadamian nut honey glaze. WOW

This was actually my second rack. I tried a rack of bb's the day before with pretty much the same result, different rub and sauce. I was questioning the temp. reading on the lid as well. I guess I'll have to look into that myself. I do not have the digital controler. Thanks again to all who hung with me and answered ?'s. They were tasty, but room for improvement, but off to a good start thanks to ya'lls help.
