rep power question

If you look in the dark blue bar of your post you will see a set of scales.

If someone clicks on that for one of your posts - you should gain some rep power. Not sure how much - but you'll get some.

Otherwise you can get the rep power simply by the number of posts that you make.

I tested as to what you posted, looks like I just improved your reputation !!!

I did notice today when I made my 100th post it changed from a 1 to a 2.

Your rep power is affected by how many posts you have made along with donations from other users who think that the information or help you have given is worthy of a boost in reputation. Obviously the more points you have the more reputable you should be within the forum.

Keep in mind that when donating rep power points the individual points don't go up right away as they aren't one for one. It is kind of a mathmatical thing where the points accumualted from donations are based on how many points the person giving rep power has.

I give rep points when newbies are sucessful on a first time smoke of something and share it with the group or for posting something that helps the group understand a concept. Maybe an outstanding recipe idea (usually something so simpe we should have thought of it before). Could be anything!

yah- the scales are kudos to anyone ya think helped you or just if it's a cool person in general... i gave a few & got a couple & it's all anonomous(is that how ya spell it???) lol- it must be late... anyway- it's a blind vote thing.
