I'm looking to build a smoker from an old boxstove I have and I have some very basic questions.
Is there a sub forum just devoted to home builds and questions about such things?

There is the sub-forum Chopsaw linked, and its a good idea to anchor your thread in the appropriate sub-forum. All threads show in the main "Latest Posts" on the home page but once it drifts off of that it's easier for people to find specific topic threads within the sub-forums.
