After trying unsucessfully to find a spot that I like for the smoker that is also protected from the wind, I finally made a windbreak.

This is the best spot for the smoker given the way my patio is laid out.

But just to the right in this picture is a sort of "tunnel" that the wind likes to roar down in the mid afternoon.

Tried moving the smoker to other spots but didn't like it as well.

Two sheets of OSB and a couple of hinges later . . .

I can smoke in my favorite spot again.

Looks good Dave now ya just need the easy chair and umbrella in that wind tunnel section for those hot afternoon smokes

Right opposite of where the smoker is sitting is a 30'x15' covered patio with fans. I have been known to doze off under there while watching the TBS drift.

The wind was HOWLING on Sunday when I took it for a test drive. If the wind is blowing hard enough to move it, I don't know if I want to be out there.

Heh, I figured if I could find one of thoee yellow triangle caution signs and stencil "Low and Slow" on it, I would have it made.
