Hello gents.

I went to order My 1hp cabelas grinder tonight and found the sale is aparenly over. Do any of you have a catalog or flier that shows them on sale I think for 399.00 If so I need the item number when it was on sale. Any help would be apriciated.

rio, when you call to order, ask the person taking your order about the sale and if you can still get for the sale price. i recently bought the 1.5 hp model after talking with ganny about his and he told me about he bought his on sale before xmas... amonth and a half later i was able to purchase the 1.5 for the same cost as the 1 hp. i posted info on site and i know for sure at least 2 others did the same thing after and got grinders for the sale price. it dont hurt to ask.

That is them,,,

Erain you are right But before I posted this I called and they wouldn't do it. I emailed customer service and told them I would go to Bass Pro and buy an LEM if I couldn't get it for that price. They hooked me up with number and I got it ordered lastnight about Midnight. thanks for the replies. Jeff

You are going to love that one. Tip: take a dremel or something like and cut the guard plate off the tray. Makes it much easier to get meat in the neck.

If anyone wants to purchase from Cabela's at the old sale price ask to speak with a product spe******t and give them a little sad song and usually it succeeds. At least it did for me.

Mine wasn't sad but it was to the point, take my money or someone else will...
Now for some reason I can't get it until the 17 even though it is in stock??

Jeff

no sad story was needed, prod spec gal i talked with just said lets try entering the number for the sale price item. it took and she finalized order. only thing i can think is i use there card, and i called the number on the back of card. real friendly to deal with. so not sure, but being a cardholder may have its priveledges...

PLEASE leave that guard in place! Taking it off is a great way to lose your fingers - that's the reason it's there, not to slow down your feed of meat. After 30+ years in meat rooms I've seen many cutters come out of the grinding room with a stump for a hand, bleeding profusely, passing out, cracking their heads open as they fall - helluva mess to clean up plus having to tear apart the grinder to try and salvage whatever digits were chomped off in 1 second by the auger. Even bigger problem with a cubing machine when trying to use it 'fast' without the chute - have to get the jaws of life to pry it apart to get what's left of your hand out of it - all it takes is a fingertip to touch the blades or auger and it's sucked in immediately and fingers are gone forever. PLEASE don't remove the guards, they're there for a reason!
