Wish I had that store in my area. Hard enough here to find a butt at any price. Fortunately I have one in the fridge defrosting. Off to the butcher tomorrow I guess.

my h.e.b. has pork shoulders for $1.19/lb too. i bought a brisket though instead, as brisket is our favorite. i am smoking it tomorrow, along with 2-dozen ABTs, and a fatty.

finally got yer brisket w/out hunting or driving it down)- good job. we got wally world tyson pork shoulders & butts fer $1.07 per lb. i looked @ 2(yes 2) lamb chops about smaller than my hand(both)maybe 1.5 lb- $12.50...erp. i'll take an 8-9lb pork shoulder- pull 1/, slice a bit, & the last 1/3 make carne quisada.
