All I have here is apple and cherry , so I use a combo

But the question says "woods" I can only make one choice ... NO FAIR!

You need to take option selecting courses from Dutch ... He makes it easy.

I usually use straight Hickory sometimes a combo of Hickory and Cherry
If using apple do you actually get any taste of it while smoking with a heavy flavor like hickory?
 
I dont do spares, but if i did i might try pine, wolminized preferably.

do them with both somtimes all 1 or somtimes a combo-hickory early than apple to finish-like straight hickory or apple-somtimes the womanfolk turn there nose on Hickory smoked-But apple is OK. I a woodworker- I like to play with my wood.

Dude, i like your poll(???). Don't go there... actually I use a combo of mesquite, hickory and cherry.
