Well I’ve taken the plunge. Ive enjoyed cooking in the Blackstone so much that more and more of our meals are moving outside. A few weeks ago I had a thought like “man,it would be great to have a bar and breakfast counter out here”. But no way I’m dropping $15k+ on an outdoor kitchen, and with the smoker and Blackstone I don’t want one of the built in grills anyhow.

My wife had a genius idea to check ikea or something similar for modular units. Bingo…. 3 weeks later we have an outdoor kitchen on a budget. Bar and counter are from ikea, stools are a Chinese special from Amazon. Will get hose bib plumbed in and rig some type of drainage soon for the sink. And I’ll take a light fixture off the wall, swap it with a power outlet, and mount a tv on the wall for football and mls.

Kids have already enjoyed the breakfast counter and we broke in the bar last night during college football.

Very thankful for this space and the abilities we’ll now have to entertain.

Friend of mine just did the same thing. He has him a fantastic setup that looks like it cost a lot more than it did.He did install an outdoor propane heater for those cold weather cooks.

Good for you!

Congrats on the new outdoor setup. Looks nice.

I do got a question thou. Is hoodlums running around & spray painting houses. Or does the yellow circle thing have some other kinda significance.
Haha thank you. I didn’t even realize the yellow circle was in the picture! I marked up to my family where I would put the tv.

No hoodlums or rabble rousers here, our friends Mssrs Smith, Wesson, Remington, and Colt do a good job of keeping the streets of our neighborhood clean.
