Ordered a Lodge enameled Dutch Oven

Had the Lodge enameled 5.5 qt for 3 years. Only discoloring has occurred from baking sour dough boules at the 475° high heat. We make soup or stew every other week and it had held up well.

I am a Scout leader and the cruelest thing we ever did to the youth was expect them to cook in cast iron pans and dutch ovens. Cooking in CI is not for feeble youth cooking skills. Most of the youth these days can barely use a microwave. Barely much of the 20-30 year old generation can barely cook above a microwave level

When I ordered the Lodge enameled Dutch Oven I somehow used an expired credit card number and Amazon kicked it back. So I did a little more research and ordered one of these. Cooked pork loin and sauerkraut in the oven with it tonight. Cleanup so much easier plus I can fridge the left overs while in the dutch oven without worrying about damaging any seasoning. I like it!

I was given a Martha Stewart enameled 6qt dutch oven years ago. I was like sure you don't want it I will use it. Have cooked many meals in it and it still looks new! I also have a Wagner ware #8 cast iron dutch oven that I love! I use the both for different things and enjoy that!
