because we are going to San Antonio, Tx. Sat we are going to SeaWorld. Sun we are going to see the Alamo and the Riverwalk. i will post some pics, if anyone is interested.
I took my wife to San Antonio a few years ago and she is still talking about it.
The riverwalk is a great evening/night activity with lots of places to eat (Be sure to ride the gondola). We walked around the Alamo for the longest time and you can almost feel history being relived.
I use to go to San Antonio alot when I lived in TX. Great food, and yes you have to ride the little boats that go up and down the river on the river walk. When I went to the Alamo you tend to get a little erie feeling standing in the same spot as Davie Crockett, Jim Bowie.......... I wish I could be going with you Chris. I miss Tx. soooooooo much. Have a good time buddy.
P.S. when you're in the Alamo say a litle prayer for all the people who lost their live fighting for their freedoom. Will the fighting ever stop?
Hey Chris,
If you can, try and make it out to Rudy's BBQ in Leon Springs. It's near Fiesta Texas. I don't know if you've been there or not, but it is worth the trip. Tom's Ribs is pretty good also and it's right in the heart of the city. I really enjoy San Antonio whenever I go. Have fun!
we have a rudy's here. they are too expensive, imo. that is if you mean the chain rudy's. i was thinking of trying the bbq place at seaworld. there is a few restaurants at seaworld. my work has a company picnic every year. this year is at seaworld san antonio. we got free tickets to get in, a free parking pass, free drinks all day (a big refillable plastic glass with a lid and straw), and free buffet of hot dogs and hambugers. there will be alot of my co-workers there.
and since our 1-year anniversary was tuesday, we are going to the riverwalk and the alamo. i have been to the alamo once (when i was a teenager). she has never been to any of the three.
San Antonio is on my list of places to see in this country. If you see a big bronze statue of a military radio man, I know the artist. He's Vietnam USMC and hails from Scottsdale, AZ. It depicts a radio man holding onto his buddy looking up at the sky waiting for a helicopter to come in and evacuate. If you see that, can you please take a picture??? Happy anniversary!!!
Hey Chris , you guys have a great time. When I was growing up I had a uncle in San Antonio so I've been there many times. But if you've never been , its a neat place to see. Have fun.
