Newbie from tx. Just picked up a char griller smoking pro and plan to make all the mods. first smoker for me. Been lurking for awhile and have finally made the plunge.

First off welcome Welder to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. Congrats on your new smoker... I was torn between the Smoker Pro or the Duo... When the wife said she would use the grill more if we had a gas one, that pushed me towards the Duo.
Agree with you on doing the mods & have really picked up some good pointers here..
