Hello all-

Just bought a Recteq and waiting for it to be delivered. Looking forward to putting this thing through its paces and smoking some good brisket and other fine foods. I have a decent amount of time behind an egg style grill but this will be my first go with a pellet smoker or any smoker really. I'd like to say thanks in advance and that I do appreciate this forum (longtime lurker) and the experience that comes with it.

Cheers!

That's what the feeling I got when reading through the forum, kind help me pull the trigger.

Welcome from Minnesota. I'm sure you have noticed but just a reminder, if there aren't pictures it didn't happen. We love food pics around here. 🤣

Rt410 and I'm already wishing I had gotten a bigger one. I ran it Sunday night for the first time after the first initial burn and quickly realised I could have used the extra real estate but other than that I'm pretty happy with it and I'm looking forward to trying a some type of pork this weekend!

Enjoy it! I Love Rec Teqs. if you love it and it turns out to be too small, its a good excuse for an upgrade. they dont make the 700 anymore, I think the flagship replaced the 700. basically a 700 with an extra shelf.

Looking at the current lineup...the prices have definitely gone up in ten year. No surprise, and they are fancier for sure.

Surprisingly my wife likes (she doesn't care for smoke meat!)what I've been able to smoke so far which is good because when it becomes time to upgrade she'll be on board! Thanks again guys for the warm welcome!!

nice! my wife was skeptical of the investment...until she ate some of the product, then she was all in! I started on a 14" WSM.
