First of I just want to say what an awesome site. I have learned so much from Jeff's ecourse, blogs and this forum. I love eating BBQ, my wife got me hooked on watching BBQ Pitmasters on TLC. The more I watched the more I wanted to create awesome BBQ for myself (and wife also). I have an ECB with a few mods to it need to add some more. I just picked up a char griller with out the SFB and no fire grate/ash pan, but reading some of the mods in the Forums I can make it work.

Keep on Smokin

James welcome to SMF glad you decided to join us. Theres lots of info here as well as some great recipes. Have fun and happy smoking

James, you sound really excited about smoking, so joining the SMF was the right thing to do. It's all good my friend.

I am excited I have done a few spareribs, turned out ok. They had a nice smoke flavor to it. The guys at work really liked it, but all they got was a sample (wife and I ate the rest). Trying to decide what I should smoke on saturday? My local lowes has the sfb for 69 bucks will try to get that in a month

Hey, welcome to a fellow Washingtonian. If I may be so bold to ask, where in Washington do you call home? There's quite a few of us who call the Pacific North West home on this site. That's a great buy on the side fire box. Is it the "Lil Tex from Char Grill"? My Lowes wants 99 bucks for it. Just added one to my GOSM (secret squirrl stuff). It's a great setup.
