Burn in complete. Still got pellets. hopper so dropped it down to 225. That is where I do pork butts. I want to see how steady it keeps Temps and how much smoke.

3 hours at 225. Temp fluctuates between 240 and 210. Outside temp is 80f with 15mph winds. I am very happy with that. Thin blue smoke, very similar to my old analog MES 30. I would say about a quart of pellets used including the hour burn in.
I believe the Traeger will be a winner. Steak test tomorrow.

Did you compare temps with a digital therm ? Nice if you have capability to but digital therm in all 4 corners to find hot spots. Or do the biscuit/bun test.
Will be fun to play with.

No, I haven't done exact testing for Temps. It's first run / burn in, using the Traeger built in probe. I would like to get 2 meat probes, 1 smoker temp probe. Maybe with phone app so I can sit inside to monitor. Any suggestions ?

I thought about that question. I have a lot of dead units and most of them are due to the thermocouple failing and no replacements.
I jumped on a ThermoWorks Signals last winter sale. They offer lots of thermocouple styles and replacements. The phone app is phenomenal and it is both WiFi and Bluetooth linked.

I absolutely love my Inkbirdbbq Inkbirdbbq I-BBQ4-T
the app is wifi so no bluetooth range issues. I can go to grocery or anywhere i got internet and check my temps.

1st cook. Internal temp 130 with standard Traeger probe. Most of it looks perfect, some are rare. I will get a better probe. Pretty good sear as well.
