Hello.

I am new to the forum so here it goes. I have been smoking for 8 years give or take. I started with a small charcoal model then a upright gas which was used to the point it fell apart around the burner. I built 2 new smokers last fall, one to use for my weekend briskett / pork loin / chicken / turkey...The other one is made for lage amounts of deer / beef.
The small one is built out of a 1950's GM refridgerator with a gas burner and several removable 14"X24" racks. The large one is purpose built 4'x4'x4' with dual gas burners.
I live in North East Iowa and smoke year round for my wife and 2 sons.

Welcome to the SMF family. We have a number of folks that have fabricated their own smokers like your purpose built one and folks that have converted an old fridge into a smoker. Folks will be along shortly to show you how to post pics and qview (pics of your smoked foods), so we would love to see the toys you play with.

Enjoy the best smoking site on the web!

Welcome, Glad to have you with us. This is the place to learn, lots of good info and helpful friendly Members.

For Those of you New to Smoking, be sure to check out Jeff's 5 Day Smoking Basics eCourse.

How to post Qview to Forum:

When you uploading to Photobucket I always use the Large IMG setting, 640 x 480 it is a nice size...

Everyone here enjoys seeing the Qview so be sure to post plenty of pics...

Large ones that us old people with bad eyes can see.
