A kind "Hello" to everyone.I found this site this morning while I was researching mods for my new Char-Griller sfb smoker.I have read a few of the posts and everyone sounds very inviting and friendly.  I hope that I can learn more about bbq from all of you, and then I may be able to return the favor. I look forward to some interesting conversations!

Let's see, I live in a small town in Michigan.  I teach Accounting and Computer Applications at a local high school.  I have been married to my beautiful wife for 27 years and have 2 really great kids.  I coach boys basketball,  I love to golf,  and I am really interested in learning more about how to bbq.  I haven't smoked anything yet, but I cannot wait to try! I purchased my smoker but I haven't been able to assemble it completely yet.

I attended my first bbq class in October.  It was taught by Chris Marks and it was so cool!  Well, I think that is pretty much all there is to know about me.

Welcome, Coach! You will be able to learn much from all here. I have, personally, learned a tremendous amount from the forum members about how to make my smoker work for me and not the other way around. Do not be afraid to ask questions...someone, somewhere, on this forum has been there and done that and is more than willing to help you. Best of luck.
