I have been smoking meat on and off for about 20 years and recently built a new smokehouse using the 100lb electric kit from The Sausage Makers.  I am looking forward to sharing ideas with folks with the same interests.

Glad you joined us nrobe50 and welcome to SMF!
Have any pictures to share with us of your smoker build? I am interested in checking it out, when I was making mine I seriously looked at Sausage Makers electric set up.

to SMF - glad to have you here

I will take some pictures and post them.  I am still having problems generating enough smoke.  The temp controls work great.  I have made bacon twice and smoked sausage several times.

First off welcome to SMF. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
