Hey everyone,

My name is Dan and I'm newish to the smoking meat world. Newish meaning I have enjoyed smoked meat and BBQs for a long time but am just getting into smoking myself now. I love watching the BBQ shows on tv and have always wanted to get better at my grilling skills, so when I finally found a smoker on craigslist that was dirt cheap and close to my house.. I jumped in. I have been reading this board like it's going out of style for the last few weeks and have picked up tons of hints and ideas. I'm currently modding out my smoker just as it is suggested on these boards. I'll post pictures in the charcoal smoker thread.

Oh ya, and I'm a big tailgater, and Ohio State Buckeyes fan
