New to this forum, been smoking for years. Right now my smoker is an old Chargriller Duo with a side fire box. Its on its last days. Parts are worn out and burned out. Ive got my moneys worth out of it. Served me well.

Looking at replacing it with a vertical smoker this round.

Still doing research on fuel types but still leaning to charcoal and wood fired simply because I have access to free apple, hazelnut and alder wood.

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from another hot day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Welcome, Hard to beat free wood. Sounds like you are making a good choice, bigger smoker and already experienced with the heat source...JJ
