With the amount of smokes posted on holidays, what about having a section of the forum dedicated to Holiday Smokes? That might make it easier to find when people are smoking their first Easter dinner, or Christmas Ham.

Just a suggestion ...

I for one have to admit that there was so much going on on the site for the 4th that it was easy for some great posts to get overlooked.
Sounds like it would be a good idea.

Not enough holidays to devote a special section to it IMO. The beef, pork and chicken sections picked up real nice for the 4th. But does it need it's own section?

maybe a weekend/holiday forum - a while ago, i did a series of threads with the title BBQ across america for a few weekends - they were pretty popular and got some good participation from members as a central place where that weekend's smokes could be posted.

just a suggestion, but that way it could be used for holidays also and would free up the beef, pork etc. sections for qeustions and discussions on methods etc.

The problem with a section like that is that when somebody is looking for something like maybe a beef recipe they may very well miss it if its not in the beef section. Many people can't seem to use the search feature and its not the best search program either

like Dan said every day here is a holiday lets keep it simple.
but the idea was good lets keep tring to improve the site

I agree. Otherwise you would to have sub forums for beef, pork, etc, and that is too much extra work.

The easist way to not miss posts is when you log on hit the todays posts pn top and it will show all posts for the day. Pretty simple.

I'd have to agree with these guys. Would make it too difficult to find things in the future. The New Posts link works pretty well if you miss a few days without logging in.

Going to a freind's cabin in a couple weeks. No (gasp) Internet or cell phone access.

And this forum is really hoppin' so it doesn't take long and you have a whole lot of reading to do to catch up.

that is true - it has helped me keep up with what's going on many times.
