I need to buy some gloves for pulling meat off racks, grabbing the racks, covering hands when you put the mustard and rub on meat, etc, etc. Can somebody recommend some good gloves that can be used for these things?

What you would need for pulling meat off the racks and moving the racks themselves are silicon heat resistant gloves. Uslaly they are good up to 400-500 degrees. They are big and bulky, not really suited to applying rubs. For that you can use a pair of latex, non powdered disposable gloves.

if it's hot I use a oven mit. If I'm rubbing meat I leave warm water running to rinse my hands.

Sam's is discontinuing their pair of silicone gloves and if your local store still has some they are currently less than $5 a pair. That is a great deal.

Get some cheap oven mits for moving the hot stuff. Latex gloves for the other, as everyone else has said.

i like that glove. is that one that you can use to move meat on racks, pull out the racks, etc?

i got a ET-73. it works good.
