I've been toying with the idea of buying a Large Rotisserie cooker. I'm not interested in getting into the commercial business. More just want to have it around for Church functions, charity events, and so on. We generally borrow one when we need it. As you can see this is purely about owning a toy for me...
I've looked KCK.com and they certainly have a wide selection. I guess my real question here is what should I watch for in buying a rig such as this. Are bearings an issue? Any differences in the firebox? I'm not sold or hooked on any certain manufacturer, in fact I would like to find a good used one. Two big events I think it would be used for are 1. My church has a butt sale every Christmas, we cook 150 butts or so. 2. I'm in Kiwanis and we do a Hamburger day and cook about 500 for lunch and 2-300 for supper. There are other places and times it would get use but you get my drift here. I know other designs would work as well but think I would prefer to have a Rotisserie for larger cooks and multiple people operating it. Seems like they have been real forgiving on heat issues anytime I have run one. Any must do's or advice?
