So I have been in the Philippines for about 4 months now, and ever since I got here I have been looking for a fabricator to make me a smoker. But, since I am in a place where no one knows about smoked bbq, I had to find someone with balls enough to try something new to them. Finally though, after 2 guys who decided they didn't want a part of it, I found the perfect guy, and he happens to be friends with my lady and lives down the street. Go figure.
The smoker will be an 82 gal 15 gauge water tank converted, with a fire box sharing the same 15 gauge steel made to be 1/3 the size of the smoker. The frame I am pretty sure is made with 3/16th steel corner bars. I will edit later if needed.
He started construction on it today and I have to say, I am stoaked. Its already coming together. The hard part will be getting the cooking grate since they dont have stuff like that here. but other than that, it seems to be going smoothly.
I will keep updates day to day and let you all know the progressssssss...
