Hey all,
I've been viewing these forums for a few weeks now and have found it filled with friendly people and good recipes.

A little about me, live just outside of the detroit area. My "rig"

is a Char-broil 3 burner gas grill with a smoke box or foil pouch. Tryin to wear down the wife to buy a REAL smoker.

Welcome to the SMF Motorcity!! Great place here, all of a sudden we have a ton of Michiganders, you hang here to long and you'll be using the gaser as a warming oven. I bet u have a smoker within a week!

it would be nice to have one within a week, but my wife said i could have a boat 12 yrs. ago and i'm still waiting.

heres a few pics. of the baby backs i cooked on 7-5 and the beer butt on 7-6. and my grill mate/taste tester.

Welcome to SMF, and the food looks great. Maybe the cost factor between a boat and a smoker will have some influence on the Mrs. and you won't have to wait as long for a smoker.

welcome to smf. i had the same problem so here's what i did. itook her to look @ a $100,000 houseboat. i got the smoker out of her for early father's day. now i still wantthe boat
