On both a brisket and ribs. I even added a bit of brown sugar...sigh....<y'all should know of my aversion to sweet anything unless it's a dessert by now.>

1/4 cup Cider vinegar
2 tablespoons prepared mustard <French's ain't bad..>
2 tablespoons soy...Kikkoman's
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 cup decent red wine
1 tablespoon ground red pepper <I use the Smitty's 6-15, which you can't get...UNLESS ya PM me and ask :{)
and...the hardest ingredient to part with... 1/4 cup James B. Bean Gen-U-ine Kennnn-tucky Bourbon.

Dayumm it sure smells great 'round here!

PS: Save some bourbon for later...Woah...! IT'S LATER!

Ooops... Hmmm forgot about that tablespoon of butter....grin... CHEERS!
