Has anyone tried to put a fan unit in a MES to dehydrate ? Just thinking again.

Acutally a interesting idea.

I have 3 computer fans on an AC adapter in my winecooler humidor. Certainly it would work in the MES.

What temperature range would you be drying at?

I never really checked a temp when I dried. It was done on a cheap unit, just plug it in and go.I just keep thinking that this MES could pull double duty if it were a simple plan. When you dont use it to smoke make some jerkey. What would be the max temp for some of these types of fans? I would think 120 F would work with a little wind in the MES .Just a guess.Just trying to save $ 300 plus on a drier for jerkey.

You could use larger fans but these little CPU fans work great. Low voltage and easy to connect to an AC adapter. I don't think they would tolerate much higher heat than 120F.
