Mama Bear’s Mama’s Day Dinner

Sorry for being late——Had a little Computer problem.

We all had a Mother’s Day Dinner at Bear Jr’s house too. It was Veal Parm, & it was Great, but I didn’t take my camera with me for that one, so you’re all stuck with viewing the Private Little Mother’s Day Dinner Me & Mrs Bear had at our Cabin in the Woods.

So another year has gone by, and it was time for a Steak Dinner for the Mama Bear.

I managed to grab another pair of Delmonico Steaks (Boneless Ribeyes) from my freezer. While I was at it, I grabbed a few small shrimp to go along with Papa Bear’s Dinner.

We had some Green Beans along side, but somehow I missed the Baked Tater Mrs Bear made for me, and I had to add that to my next day’s Breakfast. Since I love Baked Potato slices fried in butter, I didn’t mind one bit.

Hope you all enjoy our little Mother’s Day Dinner.

Bear

Then we throw those Tater slices in a Frying Pan with a bunch of melted butter:

I'm just a bit discombobulated with your post.  The dinner looks fantastic, the use of the tater is fantastic but I just don't know what you mean by "leftover steak".  I've never encountered such a thing in my life and I've eaten more than my fair share of steaks over the years.

Dont know how i missed this Bear.

Looks great. I always make enought steak for leftovers. :drool

Tasty looking meal Bear! I too like using left over baked taters for breakfast! They make the best hash browns!
Thanks Case.

Bear,

Great looking beef and shrimp. Can I ask what you put on the shrimp? Looks like a little cumin or some other light brown spice.

I just can't eat as much as I used to, but even if I can clean my plate, there's alway some of Mrs Bear's Steak left for me.

Thanks Adam!!

Years ago I had to make real big Steaks in order to have leftovers, but it doesn't take that big a steak any more.

Plus I can always count on Mrs Bear to save me some of hers!!

mouth watering... I am going to go pick up a full NY strip (my wife likes strips more than Delmonico's, much to my chagrin) today and cut it up... might leave some as a roast to smoke.

a good steak kind of speaks for itself, you don't need all those crazy spices that some people use. I also like how you made the taters, crispy and delicious!

oh yeah...missed this earlier. Beautiful meal.....looks like a fine time was had. Now, on that tater.....look soooo golden brown and delish. I had 2 leftover baked spuds last week. Halved them, scooped them out, put scooped tater meat in food processor with some cream cheese (just a tad), butter, sour cream (another tad) and shredded cheddar with some coarse BP. gave it a whirl or two and stuffed back into the skins. baked at 250 for about 20 minutes just to get melty and hot. Dude, over the top good for a special occasion. Glad a good time was for Mrs. Bear......Willie
