Made it to my sisters in Texas early Wed morning.

Went out for while to look around. Wow McKinney has exploded in growth.

Found HEB so going to try their bread flour. And my sister gave me a small mill she has had for years.

Going to try to head to the Meat Church store today after I hook up with CB.

You will find the entire area has exploded and continues to do so north. 380 corridor west has become a nightmare with their "5" year improvement plan. Gonna be amazing weather after friday for the weekend. enjoy the wedding!

if you have a kamado style grill, the ceramic grill store has their brick n mortar store/warehouse west of you in denton. tons of different stainless/cast iron/ceramic plates and grids always in stock. way cheaper than bge branded stuff.

my favorite bbq in the area is yearby's in pilot point. small town north texas with an old town square. its a bit of a drive but it'll be all county roads/farm-to-market roads mostly.

cadillac pizza downtown mckinney is our favorite pizza in dfw.

have a great time! congrats to the newlyweds!

Glad made the trip safe. I here you. I live just north of McKinney in Sherman which is blowing up also!

I not been to the McKinney yet but the Allen one is the best grocery store I ever been in.

Nice, welcome to the state!

Yeah I believe we have 300 people or families a day moving to TX. Population has been growing like crazy for the past 20 yrs!

Beware those HEB's north of Dallas... people act like those HEBs are handing out gold or something and cram into them like maniacs hahahaha.
DO NOT go at anytime on a Sunday and you are better off going early on a Mon-Wed.

I'm a fan of Tom Thumb for the peacefulness of the store because it is a hair too expensive for regular items but damn their weekly ads are amazing! Also their meat and produce is good quality so I stick to that stuff but don't mind paying $0.10 more for a can of corn if I need one. Having basically no lines and traffic to dodge in the store is heaven! :D

My sis lives in Argyle. More family in Murphy and Ferris.

I'll be out there over Thanksgiving week. That traffic is too much for me to visit very often.

Wish we had HEB here in NC.

Back in the days, I worked for TP&L out of McKinney when I lived in Dennison. The place has grown so much that I don't know if I could handle it anymore

Looking forward to what you are making!

My parents and sister moved to Texas in 1980. Made the trip from Missouri to Texas and back too many times to count. The trip from McKinney to Arlington is never fun.

75 central to LBJ (I-635) to Loop 12 to Spur 408 to I-20 to the liquor cabinet
...60 minutes of traffic hell.
