twister you need to go inside and stay inside today....i read about your smoker breaking then you de-juice the butt. this ain't the start of a good day (other than the good eats)
Well the day started out ok just early, was here at 1:00am. Its kinda gone downhill. Hope the butt is still good. getting ready to pull it in a few. I do need a break after today!
Well the smoke gods must not have been too upset with me. HA It turned out great, not dry at all. I let it rest for about an hour before I pulled it. Things didnt go real smooth but still turned out pretty darn good. 6.5lb butt and its alread gone!
Of course it was worth it! Everyone keeps talking about how great it was and when can we do it again, lots of
I keep trying to tell them its about the easiest thing to do just rub it and put it in the smoker. Its really hard to believe just how easy it is to do a butt for pulled pork. I had never did one until July 4th, just seemed like too big a task. Sure am glad I gave it a try. Thinks got a little crazy, ran out of propane once, the hose conection broke, poked a hole in the foil and on top of all that I really was busy with work. One of our plants broke down so I was scrambling trucks all over the city to try to cover things. On the bright side I did learn that things can still turn out good even if they dont go real smooth.
The only time its boring here is if its pouring down rain! Makes the day go by pretty fast though, I've been here since 1:00 and still feel pretty good. I just think of it as practice for a few all night smokes!
