Hey guys! Looking to get into a pellet smoker from an old MES XL. I do want to stick with american made. Love the yoder but that price tag is pretty high right now(hopefully one day). Was wondering what other good smokers are out there for american made (or north american made at least) i was kind of intrigued with the Louisiana vertical pellet elite smoker, anyone had any experience with that? Appreciate all the knowledge here, so TIA.

I always recommend Rec Teq. they have a bunch of sizes for different needs/budgets. Ive had my RT700 for a decade and its never had an issue. rock solid. killer customer service.
Pretty certain its all from china though. They just assemble it here. Correct me if i am wrong though.

Louisiana grills are made in China along with most others. The American made tend to be higher end and pricey. For reasonable priced American made check out Blazn Grill works. https://mgrills.com/ Seem to be well made and are cheaper than Yoder, MAK, Lone Star etc

likely yes, but as was discussed in another similar thread, I buy what suits my needs and budget first. And its highly probable that "made in America" products are not 100 American made parts.

Bummer to hear about Louisiana. I read it was canadian made. Sucks all this outsourcing

Appreciate you looking for something American made. It can be hard to find these days

Yeah man, i try to buy american as much as possible. Try to only eat at small mom and pop restaurants as well. If i have to dole out some extra cash, so be it. Least i know its helping a fellow american. Thank you for sharing this info.

Blazn grills are proudly crafted in the USA. I have the Grid Iron. Solid unit.

Smokin Brothers makes one, but I know nothing about them.

Lone Star Grillz makes some, but similar cost to Yoder.

For an economy model, the China made Green Mountain Daniel Boone is hard to beat. I have one for a backup cooker, or for when needed.

You'll be hard pressed to find a more American made option than MAK and it's a very good pellet grill.
