Alright, .... trimmed up a couple Tri-Tips, hit them with olive oil/garlic/rosemary blended up, then rubbed them down with a course rub.

Then tossed them into my new chamber vac on marinade cycle for a couple cycles.

Then onto the Scottsdale Santa Maria with Pecan wood.

Grilling time...... lets see how these turn out.

Will the quick cycle marinade make a difference? We are about to find out.

Alright, these turned out pretty good. Not sure if the vacuum seal with this type of seasoning/marinade made a huge difference. Now granted this was not a true marinade, just oil and dry rub really.

Either way, they did turn out pretty good, and good Sunday cook/lunch. Love cooking on live fire.

Here are some pics to share final results.

Sweet looking grill! Nice cook. I’m not a vac marinade guru but I think you need a good amount of liquid so it can seep in when the vac opens up the protein structure.

I agree, I seen a video that I think might have been on the manufactures page, they took a steak with dry rub, and used the machines marinade setting, supposed to pull the rub into the meat better/faster. So that was my intent to try it on Tri-Tips with a dry rub.
