i'll try to keep the drama and length down...
MIL was in and out of assisted living, long term care, and hospitals for about 9 months, she passed, she was ready. my wife was gone at least a week per month the whole time flying back and forth.
Older daughter had complications from a nonviable pregnancy, in and out of hospital and ER for about a month. settled now, not sure that's over.
Younger daughter had a grapefruit sized tumor removed 2 years ago. doc said not likely to return, if it does should be like 10 years. well tumor #2 was removed Thursday. its cancer again. Testing for the type and scanning nearly her whole body to look for other metastasis.
Old college buddy has angiosarcoma brain cancer. two surgeries, radiation and chem. he does sound good. this type of brain cancer is the worst you can get. no one lives through it. its just sad.
So - its been some rough waters. we will keep paddling. but some days it feels like a win just isn't happening anytime soon.

thanks for listening. I know many of you have been there. live each day!

Sorry to hear it brother.

Sometimes life just sucks and there isn't much you can do than just hang in there and hope sh!t gets better.

Wishing you and your family the best and your friend as well! Hope things improves for all of you. At times it seems things just never improves. Keep smiling on the good days and keeping the faith on the not so good! Hugs are always good... on all days!

Good advice Ryan. thank you. Our family is strong and we are all less than an hour from each other now that we moved back home to Colorado. That was the best move we ever made.

Sorry to hear, keep your chin up brother. We aren't all to far if you ever need a helping hand. 👍

Sorry to hear the never ending BS of life. I hope things get better soon.
If any you feel overwhelmed find someone to talk about it. Posting is a start but a face to face is better.
Daughter is finishing up her masters in counseling that is collegiate based to help the upcoming next generations deal with life when they get to our age. They need a lot of help.

Sorry to hear. God’s speed in recovery to all mentioned. Hang in there. It’s good to have a place to vent also.

Man that sure is a big pile of life's curve balls!! Prayers for you, your family and your friend.

David, you and your family have been given quite a load to bear, but being strong, as I suspect you are, you'll get through it. Just remember, your SMF family is always here for you...

Dave , this is a lot and like you mentioned , life has a way to pile it on. It is how you deal with it and look at it that shows how strong you can be.
This is a lot and I know that you and your family and your friend have the strength to deal with this. My thoughts are with you all.

David
