Laser Engraver Help

I am confused on what kind and model to get. If you would be so kind as to check out these and tell me if you'd get one of them or maybe another suggestion trying to stay under $1000 or right around that think I want to engrave about everything including Yeti cups and stainless dog tags.

Laser Engravers

Been wanting to get into using a laser engraver for some time now but I have some questions. The one I have been looking at getting is this one. My question is this, do I really need this much power over the more common 10W that is half the price? I really do not need it for cutting, just...

Most 20watt diode laser will do what you want. The one you are looking at is a good buy for a starter package.The extended legs for the rotary is a bonus and the rotary unit is good. Wish I had these options. If your planning on doing a lot of metal engraving maybe look into a CO2 laser, more expensive but does more.

I went with ORTUR since they are the standard for laser engravers. I bought the 20W laser but then upgraded to a 40W module.

With the 40W I can etch into harder things like stainless steel.
