After this summer of finding a stash of Hickory that we had around the house I some oak and a lot of maple I think I found a even larger stash of good smoking wood. This wook was cleaned out by a contractor that uses our land and the land behind him for his equpment and soil and stone. When he did a clean out I forgot he put a lot of wood in the very back. The reason I forgot about this pile is because is summer grass grows over it and covers in and winter it gets covered in snow. Well with some melting and the grass all pushed down I can see it again.
These are some pictures that I took with my cell phone of the wood. Please let me know what you think these are and if I am right.

I am thinking this is some hickory it has some nice rings on it.

I did take a small piece of what i think it hockory and split it.
What do you think I have all back there. Would you say it is mostly Hickory with some Oak mixed in? It is a little hard to tell with the bark so weathered.
